In early 2015, I picked up work on the Red Carpet Series (originally started in 2005). Working from images found online after the Golden Globe Awards or the Academy Awards, I made quick gestural ink and charcoal sketches which led to further to investigations in oil on arches oil paper. These fragmented studies in ink, watercolor and oil are evolving into a new group of wall installation pieces, clustered alongside images of working women from the Lands and Peoples series. The series is evolving to join several bodies of work, including my recent negative and camera paintings.
